James Donald Deputy
James Donald Deputy was born on April 17, 1952 to Winona and the Late Donald Deputy in Harrington Delaware. He was enrolled and received his education through the Delaware public school system. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served as a Private and was awarded several decorations including, the National Defense Medal as well as the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He worked at Chrysler for 15 years and retired in 2013.
In 1982 James met the love of his life, Karen or KURN as he would call her. They married in 1987 and from this union they shared seven beautiful children.
James loved fishing, traveling and watching T.V. for hours on end. His favorite team was the Eagles and he could watch them win or lose and still root for them. He enjoyed spending money and spending much of his spare time with his grandchildren and great grand children. He would spoil the girls and would teach the boys yard work, and mechanic work. He would do anything he could to cultivate them into strong great men. James also was known for visiting and spending time with his family. He would take his mother back and forth to her doctor’s appointment and would just enjoy riding around site seeing anywhere from Kent County to New Castle County.
James was known for all kinds of stories. He would have people believing that he had a bionic arm and so on. His tall tales were something that will be remembered forever. He had a loving spirit and would strive each day to be great and obtain great things.
James was a devoted husband, father grandfather and great grandfather. His father Donald Deputy and his son Antonio Deputy preceded him in death. Great memories of him will always be cherish by, his wife, Karen Hall-Deputy, his mother Winona Deputy; his children T’Keta Jones(Henry) Chris Hall, L’Donna Aiken, Tyron Hall(Tiffany), Ira Hall, J’Vard Deputy; 17 grand children, 6 great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Diarrassouba, brother, Richard Deputy (Eunice ) and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
